Chuan Xin Lian by Plum Flower is widely used to help remove heat and toxic materials and relieve inflammation.
This herbal nutrient combination is rich in amino acids, choline, taraxasterol (a triterpene), and beta-sitosterol an important phytosterol. The herbs present in this product are classified in the Chinese Herbal Materia Medica as possessing antimicrobial properties.
Ingredients (Pin Yin): Chuan xin lian, Pu gong ying, Ban lan gen
Ingredients: Andrographis paniculata herb, Taraxacum mongolicum herb, Isatis indigotica root
Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, Talcum, Magnesium stearate, Hypromellose
TCM Functions: Clears Heat, Expels Toxic-Heat, Cools the Blood
Standard Dosage: 3 tablets, 3 x per day
Clinical Dosage: Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute cases, dosage may be increased to 3-5 tablets every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the formula takes effect. May be used short-term for few days to a few weeks. Once the acute symptoms are resolved, this formula should be discontinued and replaced with a milder formula. Monitor for signs of cold, as this cold and bitter formula can easily damage the Spleen and Stomach Qi.
Contraindications (all): Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
